Introduction :Normes de la société. Every society has expectations about how its members should and should not behave. A norm is a guideline or an expectation for behavior. Each society makes up its own rules for behavior and decides when those rules have been violated and what to do about it. Norms change constantly.

FLAW IN THE SOCIETY : SUICIDE

By: NASRUL NAIM HASSAN BIN MOHD HABIBULLAH HASSAN, SAKINAH ATIQAH HAZNOL & ABDUL SYAHIER ABDUL WAHAB

Suicide (Latin suicidium, from sui caedere, "to kill oneself")  is defined by Wikipedia as the act of intentionally causing one's own death. Suicide is often committed out of despair, the cause of which is frequently attributed to a mental disorder such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and borderline personality disorder. One odd side of human consciousness has been our penchant for suicide. Suicide is currently a bigger  killer than car accidents in America. This is because, our cultural view of suicide is considered as something hopelessly romantic, mischievous, deeply subversive and scandalous. But the truth is, that there’s a little to celebrate in suicide. The devious act of the human brain has clearly posted an impact to individuals.
In our personal point of view, suicide is an escape from the cruel and horrid world.  A chance to end all pain that an individual has endured all his life. Suicide seems like the option a person has to overcome their problems. Here are several reasons why people nowadays, commit suicide (source: http://www.psychologytoday.com)
  1. They're depressed. This is without question the most common reason people commit suicide. Severe depression is always accompanied by a pervasive sense of suffering as well as the belief that escape from it is hopeless. The pain of existence often becomes too much for severely depressed people to bear. The state of depression warps their thinking, allowing ideas like "Everyone would all be better off without me" to make rational sense.
  2. They're impulsive. Often related to drugs and alcohol, some people become maudlin and impulsively attempt to end their own lives. Once sobered and calmed, these people usually feel emphatically ashamed. The remorse is often genuine, but whether or not they'll ever attempt suicide again is unpredictable. They may try it again the very next time they become drunk or high, or never again in their lifetime.
  3. They're crying out for help, and don't know how else to get it. These people don't usually want to die but do want to alert those around them that something is seriously wrong. They often don't believe they will die, frequently choosing methods they don't think can kill them in order to strike out at someone who's hurt them, but they are sometimes tragically misinformed.
Thus clearly proving that suicide is mostly caused by people who experience severe mental disorder. Lack of religious beliefs might be a factor why suicide is done so guiltlessly by the society and how taboo it is in this 21-st century. Hence proving, how low our mentality is. Without identifying the problem and looking for others way besides suicide will clearly make a change to the number of suicides per year.

So what are we waiting for? Help prevent suicide, you might just be surprised how valuable a life is.

Thank you for spending your time reading our blog. In our personal, opinion depression occurs when you let sadness, anger and negativity affect you. To prevent yourself from being constantly depressed you, yourself need to see the better side of things! But as to answer your question, the most righteous thing to do when you're depressed is to always seek for God. No matter what social background you came from, or what colour your skin is, God is always there for you. Then and only then are you able to accept any negative situation as a challenge and not a problem. Hope this helps!
